Dr Ross Peake

Dr Ross Peake is a Specialist Anaesthetist based in Canberra who works at all of the major Private and Public Hospitals within the ACT. Before his life in medicine Ross was a fully qualified Veterinary Surgeon and worked in private Practice in Queensland for 10 years. He returned to study in 1998 and subsequently completed his Medical Degree through the University of Sydney and subsequently went on to specialise in Anaesthesia and settle in Canberra.

He completed his Anaesthetic fellowship in Retrieval Medicine and Clinical Ultrasound and subsequently worked on the Southcare Retrieval helicopter for 5 years. He has a keen interest in Ultrasound Guided Nerve Blocks (Regional Anaesthesia) and subsequently half of his practice now involves orthopaedic surgery where he helps patients with post-operative pain through regional techniques. He is a regular instructor on Ultrasound Guided Nerve Block workshops throughout Australia educating fellow anaesthetists.

His main areas of anaesthetic work include Orthopaedic Anaesthesia (upper and lower limb), ENT Anaesthesia, Bariatric and General Surgery Anaesthesia and Obstetric and Gynaecological Anaesthesia.
